The problem with “perfection”
There’s a BIG difference between perfectionism and a desire for excellence.
One is rooted in the essence of “not good enough…ever” and the other in “I enjoy creating and paying attention to details that really matter.”
One has the tone of the ego and inner critic while the other arises from the higher self, bringing with it tones of motivation and non-attachment.
Thus, it becomes easy to see which side of the fence your current strivings have been birthed from.
We fool ourselves into thinking we can achieve anything truly excellent by being a perfectionist when, in fact, that fear based attitude brings nothing but a critical spirit to our creations and our relationships.
Don’t believe me? Name one perfectionist you ever got excited to hang out with.
Let your legacy be one of ENTHUSIASM and watch your productivity, bottom line, and relationship satisfaction soar.
