When a true warrior shows up
When a true warrior shows up, your soul takes notice.
And every defense mechanism you ever had starts to quiver.
The yoni glistens, yearning for the taking,
But the psyche isn’t so sure.
She stands as sentry, demanding proof of worthiness.
You see, she’s seen more than her fair share of would be companions.
The supposed alpha males in all their gusto
Who fall flat when things get real.
The poets with their swoon worthy sonnets
But also empty promises; too flighty for her fire.
The best friends and the one night stands…
Fantastic in their own right;
Fun but fleeting when it comes to true rapture.
And there he is…
Solid, steady, and grounded;
Fierce and unwavering.
Finding him tender behind closed doors.
What sort of fresh sorcery is this??
Why does she crave him like she craves her own breath?
She knows not what to do with her own intensity,
Suddenly stripped bare of every illusory sense of control.
To be with him would mean dropping the armor.
And goddesses are never without their armor…are they?
Queens only bare their neck for their king.
So she tentatively receives his scepter
A lancing like none she’s ever known
Pierces every wall of decorum
Royalty is spilt upon those sheets
And there she finds her equal soul.
